From past to present, BMW maker has spent unexpected gifts for the participants of Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event took place in Italy. This year’s event is no exception when BMW launched the two new concept models including the Concept 101 motorcycles and 3.0 CSL Hommage air car. According to BMW maker, the 3.0 CSL Hommage is a concept model born as a gratitude gift of the famous 3.0 CSL by the 70th decade.
When owning classical style, BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage is very suitable for an event like Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2015. In the name of the new concept car BMW, “CSL” is abbreviated from “Coupe Sport Leichtbau “, means” sportive coupe model with low weight “. It is true to its name, BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage is equipped with bonnet, rear boot and light aluminum cooling fins. Besides, the Plexiglas glass window and interior space almost only includes the most basic equipments.
Apart from aluminum, BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage also owns many details made from carbon fiber. Thus, compared to the standard version, the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage is almost 200 kilograms lighter than the 3.0 CSL. Traditional exterior mirror isn’s present at the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage, instead of pairs of small rearview camera. According to BMW, this camera pair reduces air resistance during operation. In addition, the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage is painted an original Golf Yellow of the 3.0 CSL model.

As noted above, the interior space of the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage is not have much equipment to cut down weight. All the details in the interior are made of CFRP materials and partially paneled swichboard- pressed wood. On steering wheel with a central screen displays the using gear box, speed and engine rpm.
Temporarily, BMW won’t mention drive system much of the 3.0 CSL Hommage. It is expected that, BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage will use 6-cylinder engine paralleled eBoost system.
